The audience was convinced that Miguel de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Toscano was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Dadá Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tobi SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dadá Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benê da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dadá Duarte scored 2-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Toscano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Jurubeba's David Toscano got control of the ball when Dadá Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes in the game, Miguel de Brito fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without David Toscano having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Jurubeba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Jurubeba's David Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Jurubeba from getting a goal against them. Tobi SS's Dadá Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dadá Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Tobi SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Duarte couldn't finish the play. Benê da Fonseca received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Toscano came out and tried to block the shot, but Benê da Fonseca slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Costa made a kick off. Jurubeba's David Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Duarte in the 54th minute of play. If Dadá Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benê da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Miguel de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Toscano having to interfere. Clóvis de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardinho de Godoy having to interfere. Clóvis de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
