José Paulo Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Toscano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. David Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Gomes in the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clóvis de Alcântara during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clóvis de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Jurubeba's David Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Gomes in the 18th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game José Paulo Gomes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jurubeba's David Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jurubeba's zone, José Paulo Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Toscano came out of the goal and José Paulo Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26thth minute of the game José Paulo Gomes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jurubeba's David Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reynaldo Costa's late challenge caught a Gatte Sport Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Costa helped the player get up and apologised. 34 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Rodrigues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Toscano. Jurubeba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandinho Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 37 minutes, José Paulo Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gatte Sport Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Paulo Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernandinho Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, José Paulo Gomes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. David Toscano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Paulo Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. David Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 55 played minutes José Paulo Gomes rounded Jurubeba's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jurubeba's goalkeeper David Toscano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernandinho Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Toscano having to interfere. In the 66th minute, José Paulo Gomes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Toscano. The goal made the score 0-4. After a rather tough play, Jurubeba's Paulo Renato Pitta got a free kick in the 68th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, José Paulo Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gatte Sport Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Paulo Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Gatte Sport Clube booed when Jurubeba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandinho Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but David Toscano made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Jurubeba's zone, José Paulo Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Toscano came out of the goal and José Paulo Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernandinho Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Gomes in the 83rd minute of the match. David Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, José Paulo Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gatte Sport Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but José Paulo Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Gatte Sport Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jurubeba.
