Mandirituba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of SBSfc booed when Mandirituba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Wellington Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kauan Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Paulo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Fiori Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Enéas Paulista reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Paulo Torres. The goal made the score 1-0. Kauan Terra scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dênis Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Wellington Mota came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the SBSfc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wellington Mota couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SBSfc booed when Mandirituba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mandirituba's Paulo Renato Paraíba got a free kick in the 41st minute. With his leg João Paulo Torres managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when SBSfc's Enéas Paulista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Mandirituba's João Paulo Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Mota in the 51st minute of play. João Paulo Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Wellington Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Torres having to interfere. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Wellington Mota sped through Mandirituba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Paulo Torres. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enéas Paulista in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Paulo Torres saved Mandirituba from getting behind. João Paulo Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Mota in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mandirituba's zone, Enéas Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Torres came out of the goal and Enéas Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the match, Mandirituba's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Mota came free, but João Paulo Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mandirituba's goalkeeper João Paulo Torres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Mandirituba booed when SBSfc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wellington Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Torres having to interfere.
