Salinas .CD.'s Godofredo Lizar got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meninos de Ouro's goalkeeper Raimundo Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elói Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aurél Bósa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During this time Salinas .CD.'s players had a chance to rest. Niceto Romelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Maciel having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Salinas .CD.'s Niceto Romelio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Maciel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After recieving a nice pass, Salinas .CD.'s Rony Mendonça tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Godofredo Lizar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Maciel was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After 72 played minutes Meninos de Ouro got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Catarinense. In the 74th minute Godofredo Lizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
