After a defensive mix-up in GREMIO OSASCO F.C's zone, Gláuber Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Gonçalves came out of the goal and Gláuber Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gláuber Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denílson Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Osmar de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Arí Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Gláuber Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LIPETEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gláuber Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, GREMIO OSASCO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Moraes came free, but Denílson Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the LIPETEAM defense, Arí Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arí Donatello. The LIPETEAM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arí Donatello should have stopped the shot. Denílson Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Meira in the 30th minute of play. Gláuber Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Renan Meira sped through GREMIO OSASCO F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Denílson Gonçalves. Gláuber Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Meira in the 53rd minute of play forced GREMIO OSASCO F.C's goalkeeper Denílson Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, GREMIO OSASCO F.C's Diguinho Baptista got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Arí Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renan Meira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Denílson Gonçalves 62 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osmar de Barros in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arí Donatello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of GREMIO OSASCO F.C booed when LIPETEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Osmar de Barros notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of LIPETEAM's Arí Donatello. Arí Donatello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, GREMIO OSASCO F.C's Denílson Gonçalves got control of the ball when Gláuber Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, Aníbal Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renan Meira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denílson Gonçalves having to make a save. After having played for 96 minutes, Renan Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LIPETEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. GREMIO OSASCO F.C were victorious despite being under pressure from LIPETEAM for much of the match.
