Belmiro Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Baiano in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Baiano in the 9th minute of play forced Cascatinha's goalkeeper Belmiro Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Regina FC's Tiaguinho Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Palmeira in the 12th minute of play. Tiaguinho Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Arruda in the 14th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Regina FC's Valdomiro Trigo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belmiro Bertassi. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Paulo Renato Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Renato Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Cascatinha got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Palmeira. Valdomiro Trigo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Belmiro Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regina FC. If Décio Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes, Décio Arruda made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Regina FC's Tiaguinho Faria tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Regina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Palmeira came free, but Tiaguinho Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Décio Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdomiro Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Belmiro Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Faustão Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belmiro Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Baiano in the 45th minute of play. Regina FC were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Cascatinha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marquinhos Figueiredo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Marquinhos Figueiredo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Belmiro Bertassi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The wind increased when Paulo Renato Palmeira made the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Vivaldo Batista in the 58th minute really tested Tiaguinho Faria's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tiaguinho Faria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Décio Arruda in the 60th minute. Valdomiro Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Renato Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Tiaguinho Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Ivo Godoi put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, Cascatinha's Vivaldo Batista got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tiaguinho Faria. Regina FC's Tiaguinho Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Regina FC from getting a goal against them. Faustão Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Décio Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Renato Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio Arruda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Tiaguinho Faria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Davi Linares hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cascatinha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
