A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Rondonopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Nascimento came free, but Donato Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho de Carvalho in the 18th minute of play forced Rondonopolis's goalkeeper Donato Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Belmiro Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Geovânio Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho de Carvalho in the 25th minute of the match. Pedrinho de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Donato Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho de Carvalho in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rondonopolis's Belmiro Chaves got a free kick in the 29th minute. Donato Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rondonopolis booed when Neopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes Neopolis got a freekick which was hit by Diego Montenegro. Donato Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho de Carvalho in the 42nd minute of play. Neopolis's Pedrinho de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Neopolis getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Juninho Pinho hit a great ball. Donato Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rondonopolis's zone, Juninho Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Donato came out of the goal and Juninho Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pedrinho de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belmiro Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Pedrinho de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Neopolis were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
