Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Geovanni do Valle took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Raiz FC's zone, Waldir Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Eduardo Fonseca came out of the goal and Waldir Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Otávio Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcinho Bastos in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Itaibo FC's Caio Tepedino got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Geovanni do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Eduardo Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni do Valle in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Itaibo FC's Sabino Alves got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Itaibo FC's goalkeeper Váldson Miranda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Carlos Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Angelo Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Váldson Miranda was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Silvinho Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Geovanni do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Cavalcante hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Angelo Loyola took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Váldson Miranda. Váldson Miranda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelo Loyola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcinho Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcinho Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Váldson Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabino Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Raiz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. Luís Eduardo Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Raiz FC's Angelo Loyola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Váldson Miranda. That made the score 0-2 after 76 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Loyola in the 80th minute of play forced Itaibo FC's goalkeeper Váldson Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raiz FC's Luís Eduardo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Ribeiro in the 88th minute of play. Geovanni do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Geovanni do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaibo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Raiz FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
