In the 19th minute, Afonsinho Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sabino Salgado during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Sabino Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If José Augusto Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamim Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 39thth minute of the game Douglas Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cacal's Eusébio Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Dante to strike the kick off in the second half. If Pedro Luiz Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho Nascimento hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cacal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Afonsinho Netto was slow to take the kick. During this time Colina's players had a chance to rest. 60 minutes into the match, Cacal's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Lopez came free, but Eusébio Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Pedro Luiz Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cacal's zone, Douglas Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Fernandez came out of the goal and Douglas Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Douglas Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colina's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglas Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Lopez in the 83rd minute of play forced Cacal's goalkeeper Eusébio Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Lopez in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Lopez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Eusébio Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Walmir Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
