Paulo José de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Arósio having to interfere. Dalmo Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Leandro Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. São Paulo's Paulo José de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogério Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Rodrigues in the 25th minute of the match. When Paulo José de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the São Paulo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José de Senna couldn't finish the play. The Ocaucu support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
