Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Toninho Costa took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eusébio Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eusébio Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Leandro Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cacal's Eugênio Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugênio Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Arósio having to interfere. A collision led to Cacal getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Benjamim Tinoco hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Ocaucu's Ulysses Donato broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Cacal's Mauro Hermes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 27th match minute, Cacal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Pitta to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Ulysses Donato in the 29th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Eusébio Fernandez's left hand side. Rogério Arósio made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when José Augusto Albuquerque sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd match minute, Ocaucu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Loyola to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Macedo in the 33rd minute of play forced Ocaucu's goalkeeper Rogério Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ocaucu's zone, José Augusto Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Arósio came out of the goal and José Augusto Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Eugênio Macedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Arósio was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. If Eugênio Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Eugênio Macedo made the kick off in the second half. Leandro Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Eusébio Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Matos hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Toninho Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Fernandez having to interfere. In the 58th minute Toninho Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Pimenta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Eusébio Fernandez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Pimenta got free with Eusébio Fernandez in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, Ocaucu's goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto Albuquerque came free, but Rogério Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Ocaucu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Loyola to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugênio Macedo in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Arósio saved Ocaucu from getting behind. With 74 minutes on the clock, Bruninho Nascimento commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Cacal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ocaucu:s goal. The audience was convinced that José Augusto Albuquerque's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Arósio was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
