A collision led to Scorpions Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Igor Batista hit a great ball. Jano Palmeira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Allan Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th match minute, Scorpions Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. Elano Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Mesquita having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Travassos in the 19th minute of play forced Scorpions Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Allan Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Túlio Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juacelense's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeca Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Túlio Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Juacelense's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Leal came free, but Cássio Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Cássio Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Leite hit a great ball. In the 41st play minute Zeca Leite came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cássio Mangueira. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Eurico Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Allan Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Juacelense's Edvaldo de Almeida got a free kick in the 54th minute. Cássio Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Luiz Eduardo Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Meirelles in the 58th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Scorpions Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! The Scorpions Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Scorpions Futebol Clube's Luiz Eduardo Leal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 77 minutes into the match, Vítor Sarmento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio Mangueira. Juacelense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vítor Sarmento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Natanael Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Jano Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alfredinho Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Juacelense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredinho Marinho couldn't finish the play. Edvaldo de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Scorpions Futebol Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Juacelense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
