Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Atretis's Wanderson Castro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Taperao booed when Atretis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th match minute, Atretis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Lopes to maneuver through the defense. After 10 minutes of play, Taperao's Laerte Soeiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Souto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdo Peixoto hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Taperao getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Igor Trigo hit a great ball. Enio de Toledo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Enio de Toledo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Eduardo Urbano came out and tried to block the shot, but Enio de Toledo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 26th minute. If Claudinho Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wanderson Castro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Luís Eduardo Urbano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Enio de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Urbano having to interfere. In the 37th minute Cláudio Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinho Valladares during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claudinho Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Laerte Soeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Murillo Souto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 46 played minutes Atretis got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Valladares.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laerte Soeiro to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Laerte Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Trigo charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Atretis's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wanderson Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Eduardo Urbano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Taperao's Luís Eduardo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Valladares in the 86th minute of play. When Atretis's Wanderson Castro in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taperao's goalie prevented a goal. Claudinho Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 played minutes Atretis got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Castro. Murillo Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Soeiro in the 96th minute of play. Taperao succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Atretis had controlled the match.
