Ademar Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ademar Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ademar Neves came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the MACUMBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Neves couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Norberto Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. MACUMBA's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Berger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar Neves's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 21st minute, Frank Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Renatinho Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the game, Natã Reis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armando Berger. Natã Reis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Neves in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Berger saved Agreste from getting behind. After some careless play in the Agreste defense, Ademar Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Berger. The Agreste fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Berger should have stopped the shot. Ramón Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Armando Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65thth minute of the game Ademar Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agreste's Armando Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 67 in the game by Ademar Neves from a close distance when the talented Armando Berger managed to make a qualified save. Agreste's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Neves in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Berger saved Agreste from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, MACUMBA's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Queiroz came free, but Renatinho Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frank Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes MACUMBA got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Maia. If Frank Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Pelagius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded MACUMBA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Agreste.
