In the 14th minute, Quilombo SS's Dorival Arósio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dorival Arósio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Quilombo SS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dorival Arósio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for S.C New Car Systems. Tiago Gabriel Tavares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Humberto Secco. 1-0. When Luisinho Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C New Car Systems's protests and gave Luisinho Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. When Marco Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilombo SS's protests and gave Marco Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. Quilombo SS's Humberto Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Palmeira in the 20th minute of play. Luís Fernando Palmeira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Humberto Secco 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Palmeira in the 25th minute of play forced Quilombo SS's goalkeeper Humberto Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fernando Palmeira in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Quilombo SS's Humberto Secco got control of the ball when Zé Augusto Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Augusto Domingues hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Antônio Carlos Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Cearense having to interfere. 3-0 became the score in the 46th minute when Luís Fernando Palmeira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Humberto Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manoel Eger in the 52nd minute of play. Marco Cardoso hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Palmeira in the 56th minute of play forced Quilombo SS's goalkeeper Humberto Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês Bertassi hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Quilombo SS's zone, Tiago Gabriel Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Secco came out of the goal and Tiago Gabriel Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Luís Fernando Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Secco came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by S.C New Car Systems's Zé Augusto Domingues. But to his dismay, Zé Augusto Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Hortêncio Couto hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Quilombo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Domingues came free, but Humberto Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quilombo SS's Humberto Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto Domingues in the 73rd minute of play. Humberto Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quilombo SS's attentive Marco Cardoso managed to snatch the ball when Manoel Eger made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Antônio Carlos Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Zé Augusto Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quilombo SS's Humberto Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Palmeira in the 95th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fernando Palmeira in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Quilombo SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
