Humberto Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Resfriado SS's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Mendonça came free, but Denílson Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Toledo in the 23rd minute of the match. Paulinho Mendonça scored 2-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denílson Matorin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Denílson Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Gaspar got free with Humberto Secco in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 56thth minute of the game Vitório Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quilombo SS's Humberto Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulinho Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Denílson Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Wilson Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book.
