Cléber Marquez started the match with the kick off. Fernão Madureira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Clube Esporte Paulista's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mauro Arce charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Arce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, one of Umas SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Umas SS. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Toscano in the 10th minute of play forced Clube Esporte Paulista's goalkeeper Ramiro Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laércio Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Lopez having to interfere. Cléber Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Gomes in the 23rd minute of play forced Clube Esporte Paulista's goalkeeper Ramiro Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernão Madureira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Vítor Dante made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Décio Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Diogo Melo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 37 minutes into the game, Marcelo Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Esporte Paulista's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Umas SS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Clube Esporte Paulista's Marcelo Terra got a free kick in the 38th minute. Laércio Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dorival Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio Toscano made a kick off. Laércio Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ramiro Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernão Madureira's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Cléber Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vítor Dante having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, Clube Esporte Paulista's goalkeeper Ramiro Lopez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laércio Toscano. 66 minutes into the game, Dorival Cruz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramiro Lopez. Dorival Cruz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Vágner Secco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Ramiro Lopez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Umas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Marquez came free, but Vítor Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Umas SS's Laércio Toscano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laércio Toscano struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Ramiro Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umas SS. Laércio Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ramiro Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Vágner Secco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Umas SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Laércio Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. Ramiro Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Umas SS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Clube Esporte Paulista from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
