Kauan Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Parreiras's Silvinho Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Veiga in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Veiga in the 13th minute of play forced Parreiras's goalkeeper Silvinho Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Parreiras getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Kléber Paraense hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Anibal got a corner. Parreiras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vânderson Schmidt ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Anibal's Vânderson Schmidt to fire away a dangerous shot which Silvinho Nóbrega despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kauan Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvinho Nóbrega stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João de Amorim's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Dorival Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
52 minutes into the game, João de Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvinho Nóbrega. João de Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 60th match minute, Parreiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Dorival Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If João de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reginaldo Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, João de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anibal's supporters rose to their feet, but João de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvinho Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes Parreiras got a freekick which was hit by Guto Pombal. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Parreiras's goalkeeper Silvinho Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enio de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Natã Moreno suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 94 minutes into the game, one of Anibal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Parreiras succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Anibal had controlled the match.
