Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mazinho Mineiro got the match started through his kick off. Benedito Meira succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Natã Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parreiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Natã Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horácio Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Silvinho Nóbrega made a huge save. Severino Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Almofada's Severino Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Mineiro in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Almofada's zone, Mazinho Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Pirani came out of the goal and Mazinho Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benê Sampaio hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Mazinho Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parreiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Mineiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Natã Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Meira in the 45th minute of play forced Parreiras's goalkeeper Silvinho Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horácio Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvinho Nóbrega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horácio Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedito Meira to make the kick off. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Parreiras's goalkeeper Silvinho Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Benedito Meira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvinho Nóbrega was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Severino Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Mineiro in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Parreiras's Jarbas Matorin got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Silvinho Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Luiz Eduardo Aguiar's late challenge caught a Parreiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Eduardo Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87thth minute of the game Mazinho Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almofada's Severino Pirani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Natã Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Severino Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Parreiras! The referee gave Almofada a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zézinho Dracena, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Parreiras's Silvinho Nóbrega. 2-0. Almofada's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
