Dalmo Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. During the 44th minute of the match Luís Eduardo Dantas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luís Eduardo Dantas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zézinho Arósio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Douglas Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernani Branco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Dalmo Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Siupe EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zézinho Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Branco having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Siupe EC's zone, Claudinho Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder de Queiroz came out of the goal and Claudinho Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmo Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Hernani Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Siupe EC. 71 minutes into the game, Zézinho Arósio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hernani Branco. Zézinho Arósio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Dalmo Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot.
