An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Pereira in the 8th minute of play forced Siupe EC's goalkeeper Elder de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Manfredo Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Siupe EC's protests and gave Manfredo Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Siupe EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Elder de Queiroz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murillo Pereira's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute, Zézinho Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elder de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Bortzaioriz in the 15th minute of the match. Richard Ribeiro hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Durvalino Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Madrid FC's André Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Arósio in the 23rd minute of play. In the 31st minute Rolando Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Bortzaioriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guto do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Zézinho Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Paes having to interfere. André Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Fonseca in the 47th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Siupe EC's zone, Tomas Abechuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder de Queiroz came out of the goal and Tomas Abechuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Abechuco was the one to do the kick off. After 65 minutes Real Madrid FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nuno Trancoso who took care of the corner kick. André Paes was a little too slow when Zézinho Arósio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a rather tough play, Siupe EC's Nuno Trancoso got a free kick in the 78th minute. Arsenio Javiar hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes Durvalino Fonseca rounded Real Madrid FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Real Madrid FC's Arlindo Valadares was substituted for Rolando Bortzaioriz. If Arlindo Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Lucas Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
