Verzearia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ticomia SC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Verzearia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! 13 minutes into the game, Franklin Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ticomia SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verzearia the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Ticomia SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Velloso to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Verzearia's Natanael Dias got a free kick in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Wanderson Cabral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving David Arce. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. The supporters of Ticomia SC booed when Verzearia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloísio Seco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Arce. Verzearia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Franklin Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ticomia SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklin Velloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Arce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas de Sena during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franklin Velloso in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Franklin Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Ticomia SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franklin Velloso couldn't finish the play. When Maurício Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verzearia's protests and gave Maurício Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Maurício Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franklin Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. David Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wanderson Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Arce having to interfere. In the 91st minute Franklin Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ticomia SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
