Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alessandro Antunes started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Canca's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Pires came free, but Adrianinho Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulisses Brito's late challenge caught a TEIXEIRA F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulisses Brito helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Canca got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Brito. With a little luck, Canca's Adrianinho Carioca got control of the ball when Fábio Goiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alessandro Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Carioca having to interfere. Adrianinho Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Antunes in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Alessandro Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canca's Adrianinho Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alessandro Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Canca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilson Prestes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, TEIXEIRA F.C.'s Mauro Maranhense got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th match minute, TEIXEIRA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Régis Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Duarte Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Fábio Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Antunes in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Canca getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gilson Prestes hit a great ball. Nelson Ribeiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrianinho Carioca. Canca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Duarte Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enéas Urbano having to make a save. Alessandro Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Adrianinho Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Flávio do Vale put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Canca a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Inácio da Silva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of TEIXEIRA F.C.'s Enéas Urbano. 0-1. Duarte Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Canca getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Inácio da Silva hit a great ball. Fábio Goiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrianinho Carioca having to make a save. Duarte Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Canca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
