Sandro Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belmiro de Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 53rd minute Willian Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belmiro de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Willian Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvorada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willian Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doriva Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. Kauan Batista was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gustavo Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Sandro Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvorada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
