Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maurinho Faria kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Vortex FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Maciel came free, but Rui Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Pitta during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Guaianazes SC booed when Vortex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guaianazes SC's Luís Guilherme Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Guilherme Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Guaianazes SC's Gilberto Vides got control of the ball when César Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guaianazes SC's zone, Dida de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Vides came out of the goal and Dida de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Valadares in the 23rd minute of play forced Vortex FC's goalkeeper Rui Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Vortex FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Maciel came free, but Rui Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Vortex FC defense, Christian Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Toledo. The Vortex FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Toledo should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Leme in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36th play minutes César Leme shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Gilberto Vides and just under the crossbar into goal. If César Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Christian Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Toledo having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell César Leme to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Severino Lira could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Rui Toledo however easily saved by the left post. Gilberto Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Leme's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Vortex FC's César Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Vides made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Guaianazes SC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Severino Lira hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Vortex FC's goalkeeper Rui Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Lira. 74 minutes into the match, Severino Lira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rui Toledo, 2-3. With a little luck, Vortex FC's Rui Toledo got control of the ball when Hamílton Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, César Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vortex FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Leme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Vides having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vortex FC's Luís Guilherme Cruz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Rui Toledo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anselmo Romero. In the 87thth minute of the game César Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaianazes SC's Gilberto Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Vortex FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. César Leme hit a great ball. Vortex FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Christian Valadares scored to the left of an out of position Rui Toledo, making the score, 2-4. Dida de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Gilberto Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vortex FC.
