With a left leg Kaká Garcia saved Cacatua from getting behind. Enéas Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Zeca Sá got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Wilson Neto in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vivaldo Costa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 14th minute Enéas Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enéas Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vivaldo Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeca Sá in the 25th minute. Vivaldo Costa made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Zeca Sá sent off a good shot on target. Wilson Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Costa having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Cacatua's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Alvarenga came free, but Kaká Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Neto to strike the kick off in the second half. José Paulo Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Enéas Prata fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Wilson Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vivaldo Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Zeca Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vivaldo Costa. Submarino Amarelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeca Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Kaká Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo Alvarenga in the 67th minute. If Zeca Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes, Cacatua's Richard Reis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vivaldo Costa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cacatua reached it. Wilson Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Costa having to interfere. Zeca Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vivaldo Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Submarino Amarelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Félix to maneuver through the defense. Zeca Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Costa having to interfere. Cacatua's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
