Bolicho's Emílio Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé de Brito in the 5th minute of play. Emílio Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé de Brito in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Bolicho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Sidney Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Bittencourt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Luizão Bueno struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Adelino Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolicho. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Sidney Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galeno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Galeno FC's Sidney Penha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emílio Bittencourt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Galeno FC's Adelino Nascimento got control of the ball when Luizão Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Bolicho's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Penha came free, but Emílio Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

But to his dismay, Sidney Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Galeno FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galeno FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
