A collision led to Jacueira getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Murillo Quintal hit a great ball. If Norberto Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Pedro Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vimeiro's protests and gave Pedro Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. When Lauro Martins came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Jacueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Martins couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Carioca in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Amorim saved Jacueira from getting behind. Murillo Quintal hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Vimeiro's Chicão Leão broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Norberto Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Simão Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Jacueira booed when Vimeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Martins in the 54th minute of the match. Simão Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Gaúcho in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Vimeiro booed when Jacueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Fábio Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vimeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Tepedino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th match minute, Jacueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonsinho Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Alan Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Carioca got free with Dário Amorim in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacueira's Dário Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Jacueira from getting a goal against them.
