The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Uberabinha getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cauã Trancoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 played minutes Uberabinha got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Penha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan de Alcântara in the 19th minute of play forced Uberabinha's goalkeeper Cauã Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes, Cauan de Alcântara made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Uberabinha's Cauã Trancoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Cauan de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson Massa having to interfere. Adilson Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artur Queirós's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Penha in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adilson Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Maricoabo AD's zone, Dráusio Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adilson Massa came out of the goal and Dráusio Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Maricoabo AD's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Penha came free, but Adilson Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Uberabinha players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maricoabo AD were winning 0-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráusio Brasil in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adilson Massa saved Maricoabo AD from getting behind. Dráusio Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute of the match Arnaldo Vale sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adilson Massa skillfully saved the ball. Dráusio Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Adilson Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Although Uberabinha had been in control for most of the match, Maricoabo AD still came away with the win.
