Sílvio Luís Alves hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, one of Piraja EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leonardo Prado walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 20th minute Silvério Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Vale do Sol MZC's Carlinhos Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Real Vale do Sol MZC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th match minute, Real Vale do Sol MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Vinhas in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Luís Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto de Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Real Vale do Sol MZC booed when Piraja EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Gonçalo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luís Cardozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo dos Santos in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serginho Mattos in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Real Vale do Sol MZC's zone, Carlos Eduardo Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlinhos Neiva came out of the goal and Carlos Eduardo Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Piraja EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Vale do Sol MZC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
