An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Peixoto in the 3rd minute of play forced Jardim FC's goalkeeper Natanael Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Mário Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natanael Rosado was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Natanael Rosado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mário Peixoto's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Jardim FC got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Botelho. Emílio Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Anderson Mattos made a huge save. Jonathan Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natanael Rosado having to interfere. Mário Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Natanael Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araguaia. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denílson Sabóia during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Araguaia booed when Jardim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natanael Rosado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mário Peixoto went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Jardim FC's zone, Mário Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natanael Rosado came out of the goal and Mário Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mário Peixoto took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natanael Rosado. Natanael Rosado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Emílio Salles could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Anderson Mattos however easily saved by the left post. Araguaia's Anderson Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã Abraão in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Araguaia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cauã Abraão made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Araguaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Pires to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Abraão in the 58th minute of play forced Araguaia's goalkeeper Anderson Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauã Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Anderson Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Araguaia's Jonathan Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Jardim FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Araguaia's performance. The match ended with a win for Araguaia.
