The corner led Pompeia's Otávio Andrade to fire away a dangerous shot which Otávio Botelho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jefferson Cerezo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Falcão Arruda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otávio Botelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Pompeia's Dorival Branco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dorival Branco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pompeia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dorival Branco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ian Machado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Rodriguinho Motta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Donatello Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ian Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Motta having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Willian Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Paulo Rocha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Pompeia's Rodriguinho Motta got control of the ball when Ian Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ian Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodriguinho Motta made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Ian Machado sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Macacos Árticos FC ACϟDC's Gabriel Abreu got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Macacos Árticos FC ACϟDC defense, Otávio Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otávio Botelho. The Macacos Árticos FC ACϟDC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otávio Botelho should have stopped the shot. Cléberson Maranhense hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Carlos Baiano made a kick off. Cléberson Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Falcão Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pompeia's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otávio Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Carlos Baiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodriguinho Motta having to make a save. After 67 played minutes Macacos Árticos FC ACϟDC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Abreu. In the 71st minute, Zé Carlos Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Willian Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 77 minutes into the match, Pompeia's Falcão Arruda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otávio Botelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Baiano in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodriguinho Motta saved Pompeia from getting behind. Willian Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Botelho having to interfere. A collision led to Pompeia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Cléberson Maranhense hit a great ball. Ian Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Otávio Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pompeia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macacos Árticos FC ACϟDC the free kick. 94 minutes into the game, one of Pompeia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Macacos Árticos FC ACϟDC. Luiz Paulo Rocha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rodriguinho Motta. 2-1.
