The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sérgio Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Saraiva in the 4th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Sapupara FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Mendonça came free, but Sérgio Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Noel Pernambucano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fedegoso's Válbson Duarte didn't even have to move. Sílvio Luiz Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Sapupara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Saraiva came free, but Sérgio Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Sapupara FC's Francisco Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válbson Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fedegoso's Válbson Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Fedegoso from getting a goal against them. Válbson Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Glauco Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Válbson Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Glauco Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Francisco Hermes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Hermes made a kick off. Francisco Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válbson Duarte having to interfere. If João Francisco Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Fedegoso got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Quaresma. In the 64th minute Francisco Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válbson Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Hílton Simões put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Válbson Duarte. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Prestes in the 84th minute of play forced Fedegoso's goalkeeper Válbson Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Hermes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Válbson Duarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Sapupara FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
