The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a left leg João Vítor Vinhas saved União Sulista FC from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, União Sulista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Cabral came free, but João Vítor Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, União Sulista FC's Simão Magalhães made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robinho Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The wind increased when Rui Cabral made the kick off in the second half.
