Thomás Vander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chicão Dias went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 9th minute Ademir Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Pinho having to interfere. Thomás Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Gomes SC's Chicão Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomás Vander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adalberto Carvalho took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomás Vander. Thomás Vander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Ademir Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Guilherme Rossi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Baltazar Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Pinho having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Yan Cavalcante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gomes SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shot the free kick. A collision led to Gomes SC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Yan Cavalcante hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Baltazar Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gomes SC's Durval Pirani got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Baltazar Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nelson Teles, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cesinha Pinho was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Dias in the 64th minute of play forced Shot's goalkeeper Thomás Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Chicão Dias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thomás Vander, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Gomes SC's Adalberto Carvalho got a free kick in the 70th minute. Nelson Teles might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesinha Pinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nelson Teles ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, Nelson Teles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesinha Pinho. Gomes SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelson Teles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Nelson Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chicão Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Shot's Benjamim Amaral got a free kick in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Dias in the 86th minute of play forced Shot's goalkeeper Thomás Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ademir Ferreira in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thomás Vander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chicão Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chicão Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nelson Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gomes SC's goalkeeper Cesinha Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Gomes SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
