The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Elder Arruda managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Jeceaba's Luís Fernando Arce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 8th minute of the match, Cristóvão Zanette tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elder Arruda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Jaramataia FC's Mateus Abraão in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Jaramataia FC's protests and gave Dedê Batista a yellow card for diving instead. Dedê Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Arce's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elder Arruda firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Cristóvão Zanette took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Elder Arruda to make any attempt to save it. Geraldo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jaramataia FC's zone, Cristóvão Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Arruda came out of the goal and Cristóvão Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elder Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Zanette in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Dedé Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateus Abraão was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play Jaramataia FC's Dedê Batista was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Jaramataia FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dedê Batista hit a great ball. Luís Fernando Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaramataia FC's Elder Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Zanette in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jaramataia FC's zone, Cristóvão Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Arruda came out of the goal and Cristóvão Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 minutes, Dedé Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaramataia FC and the Jeceaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Jaramataia FC got a freekick which was hit by Dedé Meirelles. Jeceaba's Elano Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Jeceaba from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Jaramataia FC booed when Jeceaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Thomás Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeceaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dedé Meirelles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Dedé Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dedé Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Elano Ramos made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
