The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Augusto Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Romeu Vinhas in the 19th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Pedrão Moraes kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Benjamim de Lara hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Born To Kill's Emanuel Palmeira tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Betão Vander fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Born To Kill's protests and gave Betão Vander a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Born To Kill got a freekick which was hit by Betão Vander. Pedrão Moraes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romeu Vinhas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Pedrão Moraes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Nando de Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho de Godoi was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romeu Vinhas to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedrão Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Vinhas in the 51st minute of the match. Bernardinho de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Romeu Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Moraes having to interfere. After some careless play in the Born To Kill defense, Serginho Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrão Moraes. The Born To Kill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrão Moraes should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Romeu Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrão Moraes was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Born To Kill's Emanuel Palmeira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emanuel Palmeira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Born To Kill protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emanuel Palmeira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Pedrão Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Vinhas in the 86th minute of the match. If Nando de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Pedrão Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrão Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeu Vinhas went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Born To Kill's Nando de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atletico Pernambucano FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
