Abaetetuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Born To Kill's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel Correia came free, but Pedrão Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Born To Kill defense, Manoel Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrão Moraes. The Born To Kill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrão Moraes should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando de Sena in the 88th minute of play forced Abaetetuba's goalkeeper Alan Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Pedro Augusto Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manoel Correia struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Pedrão Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abaetetuba. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Manoel Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abaetetuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Manoel Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
