Rafael Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidney Miranda's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Queiroz SC's Sidney Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonardo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Torres having to interfere. In the 12th minute Sidney Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edu Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Miranda in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Sidney Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Maia in the 21st minute of play forced Capira's goalkeeper Rafael Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willian Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willian Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Capira's Willian Dantas got a free kick in the 25th minute. Edu Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Alfredinho Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capira. Rafael Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Gonçalo Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sidney Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Túlio Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alfredinho Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edu Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. Rafael Torres was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Sidney Miranda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sidney Miranda really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Alfredinho Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Gonçalo Quadros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredinho Novaes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Queiroz SC's José Maria Marinho got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Capira's Edu Rodrigues managed to work through Queiroz SC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Edu Rodrigues dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Alfredinho Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute.
