If Mateus Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes, Reinaldo Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queiroz SC and the Viveiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Queiroz SC's zone, Leopoldo Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Novaes came out of the goal and Leopoldo Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Queiroz SC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Novaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Rossi. Alfredinho Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Mazza in the 90th minute of the match.
