Dique FC's Cristian Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Novaes in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th minute Aníbal Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Azevedo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Miranda in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Azevedo saved Dique FC from getting behind. After 28 minutes, Róbson de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dique FC and the Tamoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Cafu Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Dique FC defense, Aníbal Novaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Azevedo. The Dique FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Azevedo should have stopped the shot. When Zé Carlos Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Dique FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Aníbal Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Azevedo was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After 47 minutes of play, Tamoa's Afonso Miranda made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Afonso Miranda made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Novaes got free with Cristian Azevedo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, Dique FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Miranda came free, but Cristian Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Afonso Miranda fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Novaes got free with Cristian Azevedo in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute, Aníbal Novaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Zé Carlos Rodrigues hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Tamoa's Aníbal Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dique FC's zone, Aníbal Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Azevedo came out of the goal and Aníbal Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Carlos Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Tamoa's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Ramalho came free, but Breno Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tamoa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
