Seleto Football Club's Marcinho Seco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jeremias de Queirós in the 23 minute of the game. In the 30th minute Osvaldo Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséias Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seleto Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulysses Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The Vasconcellos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Seleto Football Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
