In the 7th minute, Vito Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute Denílson Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jubaia's Osvaldo Vinhas in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Tiago Gabriel Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Budweiser Soccer Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
