Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alexandria's Cléberson Maranhense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Téo Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 played minutes Pradinia SS got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Rossi. Agostinho Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Furlan in the 7th minute of the match. If Carlos Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Carlos Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agostinho Viana having to interfere. When Gustavo Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alexandria's protests and gave Gustavo Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Alexandria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Téo Pinheiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alexandria's Celso Montenegro got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 26 minutes of play Alexandria's Gustavo Novaes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 27th minute, Armando Castro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Alexandria's Agostinho Viana didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Aírton Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pradinia SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Furlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agostinho Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Pradinia SS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cléber Dantas hit a great ball. Cléber Dantas struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Agostinho Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pradinia SS. In the 44thth minute of the game Aírton Furlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alexandria's Agostinho Viana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agostinho Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Furlan in the 46th minute of the match. Cléber Dantas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Agostinho Viana firmly grabbed it by the left post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aírton Furlan was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Cléber Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Agostinho Viana. Alexandria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, João Carlos Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pradinia SS's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carlos Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agostinho Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cléber Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agostinho Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Furlan in the 66th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Cléber Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agostinho Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pradinia SS booed when Alexandria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aírton Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Pradinia SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aírton Furlan couldn't finish the play. Carlos Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Téo Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Cléberson Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléberson Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pradinia SS's Armando Castro tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Agostinho Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91stth minute of the game Cléber Dantas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alexandria's Agostinho Viana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Aírton Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pradinia SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aírton Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Furlan in the 94th minute of play forced Alexandria's goalkeeper Agostinho Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Pradinia SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
