Pedro Augusto Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, Galeno SC's goalkeeper Giuseppe Quaresma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juninho do Valle. Galeno SC's Iuri Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Soeiro having to interfere. Luís Fernando Pena hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Richard Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Severo came free, but Pedro Augusto Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Galeno SC reached it. Iuri Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Gustavo Romero in the 50th minute really tested Giuseppe Quaresma's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half Galeno SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richard Severo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giuseppe Quaresma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Severo in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Augusto Soeiro saved VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting behind. 57 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galeno SC the free kick. Luís Fernando Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Richard Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Pedro Augusto Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertinho Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Albertinho Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE! Iuri Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pedro Augusto Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Richard Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Augusto Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE's Pedro Augusto Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting a goal against them.
