The referee ignored bfr's protests and gave Diamantino Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to bfr getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Diamantino Bittencourt hit a great ball. Marco Batista was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Hernani Valle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hernani Valle really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. bfr's Marco Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save bfr from getting a goal against them. Ronaldinho Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kiko Tróia went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Marco Batista made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Paulo José Secco sent off a good shot on target. Ronaldinho Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernani Valle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Marco Batista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Paulo José Secco came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Goyanninha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José Secco couldn't finish the play. bfr's Kiko Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Valle in the 80th minute of play forced bfr's goalkeeper Marco Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
