Luisinho Recife started the match with the kick off. Wartec's Raphael Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir da Cunha in the 4th minute of play. Filipe Freitas hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Wartec's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir da Cunha came free, but Raphael Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hamílton de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Wartec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamílton de Amaral couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute Luisinho Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raphael Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Raphael Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Recife in the 19th minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Luisinho Recife who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guido's Genílson Mesquita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisinho Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Genílson Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Wartec's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir da Cunha came free, but Raphael Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Eusébio Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wartec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genílson Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton de Amaral in the 42nd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Wartec got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Cavalcante. In the 46th minute, Júnior Recife ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raphael Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The Wartec players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guido were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vladimir da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Vladimir da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Soeiro. Wartec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vladimir da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Eduardo Bezerra's late challenge caught a Guido's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Bezerra helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Renato Cabral in the 57th minute really tested Raphael Soeiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Raphael Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir da Cunha in the 58th minute of the match. Raphael Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Júnior Recife sent off a good shot on target. Raphael Soeiro was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Guto Cunha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guto Cunha really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The supporters of Guido booed when Wartec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Wartec's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir da Cunha came free, but Raphael Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júnior Recife scored 0-5 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raphael Soeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guido's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
