Raimundo Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Fabrica SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gualter Messias hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Fabrica SC's Arthur Urbano got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Vidal in the 14th minute of play forced Urutai SC's goalkeeper Américo Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Urutai SC's zone, Vitinho Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Sarmento came out of the goal and Vitinho Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Urutai SC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Leonardo Ramalho hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, Fabrica SC's Vitinho Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Américo Sarmento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Ferraz in the 23rd minute of play forced Urutai SC's goalkeeper Américo Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitinho Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Américo Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 minutes, João Pedro Lago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urutai SC and the Fabrica SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Urutai SC's Raimundo Quadros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Vítor da Silveira. João Vítor da Silveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Américo Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Ferraz in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Wilian Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitinho Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Zé Augusto Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabrica SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Vidal in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitinho Ferraz to make the kick off. Aluísio da Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aluísio da Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aluísio da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The referee gave Urutai SC a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by João Pedro Lago, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fabrica SC's João Vítor da Silveira. 2-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
