Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Leão in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 6 minutes, Anderson Matorin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Resplendes and the Inacio players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Marcinho Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Zeca Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Arce in the 19th minute of play forced Inacio's goalkeeper Serafim Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arí Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arí Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Resplendes booed when Inacio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zeca Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anderson Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Neiva having to interfere. When Manolo Barral fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inacio's protests and gave Manolo Barral a yellow card for diving instead. Manolo Barral hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Marcinho Arce came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Resplendes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Arce couldn't finish the play. Zeca Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Inacio's Serafim Neiva got control of the ball when Zeca Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st play minute Zeca Pinheiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Serafim Neiva. 1-0. Serafim Neiva made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Zeca Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Marcinho Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Neiva having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcinho Arce was the one to do the kick off. Zeca Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Serafim Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Resplendes. Serafim Neiva came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Resplendes's Marcinho Arce. But to his dismay, Marcinho Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 67thth minute of the game Marcinho Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inacio's Serafim Neiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zeca Pinheiro spun around in front of the goal 68 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Inacio's goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho Vieira during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Inacio got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Vieira. If Luiz Gustavo Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Marcinho Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Resplendes's Zeca Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Zeca Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Inacio:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Resplendes:s goal. The referee gave Resplendes a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Valdemar Quintal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Inacio's Serafim Neiva. 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Zeca Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resplendes's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafim Neiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Resplendes getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Anderson Matorin hit a great ball. Sílvio Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Zeca Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Neiva having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Resplendes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
