The crowd rose to their feet as Luisinho Sergipano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waldir Moraes. That made the score 0-4 in the 64 minute of play. Délio Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Geovani de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Waldir Moraes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 73rd minute Délio Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Waldir Moraes made a huge save.
